Wine list
To think that wine does not combine with Indonesian dishes is a misunderstanding. Of course, drinking wine is not an Indonesian tradition, but neither is drinking beer. Most people think that beer is the ideal companion for a spicy meal because it would ‘sooth’ the burning sensation. However, it is the plain white rice that does this far more effective! You would be surprised to discover that a great number of wines fit extremely well to enrich and complement the delicious tastes of Indonesian dishes.
Our winelist is specially composed for this purpose. Sampling and comparing intensively has resulted in that we can advise you various wines which go very well with our different dishes. For your convenience we have marked each wine corresponding to the spice degree of dishes.
- Goes well with mild dishes
- Goes very well with mild and spicy dishes
- Keeps the taste, even with very spicy dishes
During intensive sampling, under various circumstances, we came to a very surprising discovery: For spicy dishes a cooler wine is a better companion And although red wine usually is served at a temperature of at least 18C ,a cooler red wine prooved to be an excellent experience. Therefore, we serve our red wines conciderably cooler than you are used to drink. You will however, discover how pleasent this experience is. And naturally, if you prefer to have your wine served in the traditional way ,we do so.
And, we can assure you: We also serve beer!
